Poll: Democrat or Republican

When one of them develops sense, let me know.

^Just to note my silliness, I wrote Olympiad Snowe instead of Olympia Snowe. Haha

Yea, I hate people who blindly follow an ideology. That’s not the point of politics.

If the US had a labour party, they’d have my vote.

I would probably have to go with Democrat since most of the views are extremely liberal. I hate the thought of having to be bundled up into ONE party though.

Independent. I agree with many libertarian ideals but don’t subscribe to the party. I’m a firm believer in the separation of church & state, liberty, and a government focused on protecting the rights of the people, e.g. safety and education.

By the way, insulting those with different ideals is extremely mature and very flattering to you, your argument, and your party. ;)

Moderate I hate Bush and Obama equally.

Republican

but I can’t stand Palin

My 5 political views…

I support eugenics. (incentive based, not mandated)

I want to instate a debtors prison.

I support the death penalty (and think it should be expanded to extreme cases of fraud, debting, and robbery where money can’t be repaid)

I think we should abolish the perscription drugs system. Everything is legal or illegal, no BS with giving certain people special rights.

I opposed all gun and weapons control. Mostly on principal since I support the Bill of Rights… Either repeal the 2nd amendment or follow it. You can’t just pick and chose what you want to follow in the constitution.

So, somewhere between fascist and anarchist (actually, really just some sort of branch of moderate fascism probably). Most stuff beyond that I don’t care about because there are plenty of people arguing for or against anything else.

Right fiscally, left morally

democratic views have been shoved down my throat ever since i moved to california

but i’m pretty politically ignorant :l

@aisgz: Who is Ron Paul?

@Choklitrain: General Relativity and Gravity are supported by (practically) all the evidence so far. That is not the case with the concept of molecules randomly assembling themselves into preying mantises. Some evidence seems to favor it, other evidence gives it serious problems.

lol…

Do you think Gore would have stopped 9/11? At least we haven’t had any major attacks since. Gotta agree with you on Katrina, but do you think the Republicans were entirly responsible for that fiasco? I never said they were my “beloved administration,” I belive my post read “All politicians are either crooked or deluded.”

I am not an uneducated bigot, or racist. A Black president does not scare me, but a liberal one does. You, on the other hand, have shown yourself to be quite bigoted by that statement. You assume I am a bigot due to my views? What I assumed you were a gay Black person who lives in a slum in New York? That would be bigoted.

I will be the last person to deny that Bush (or any candidate) used less-than-satisfactory campaign tactics. In today’s political climate, the honest, smart ones never get far enough to be real presidential contenders.

You were right about one thing: I do need glasses. :P

I’m glad they’re stalling. When that bill kicks in my insurance goes out the window and we either have to buy a plan we can’t afford or pay a fine we can’t afford. Or leave the US (which we can’t afford). And this plan is supposed to give us choices! I said in my original post that both parties are spending us into the dust. Has Obama’s (or Bush’s) bailouts helped us? They’re just putting off the day of reckoning for a few years. You don’t fix an economy by handing out free money that doesn’t exist. A far better plan would be to scrap stupid laws like the CPSIA. What the government is doing is like revving the engine and then closing the garage door before we can get out. Do you realise that we are in a recession as bad as the Great Depression? We just can’t see it under the Obamadollars.

Really, though, you can’t blame Bush or Obama for the spending. The real culprits are our friends in Congress. And us, who voted for them.

Amen to that!

Really? I had no idea! So now I believe in evolution! Thanks for opening my eyes!!!

Libertarian, though that’s changing. But generally, very liberal in terms of social issues and very conservative in fiscal ones (this is what’s changing…Time’s article on Ben Bernanke did an excellent job of explaining why, sometimes, overstepping boundaries and manipulating “the invisible hand” can be the best choice)

Communist Democrat.

Or just Democrat. :P

I’m a conservative Republican, but I also have some libertarian leanings.

William F. Buckley is my hero.

I’m SWITZERLAND!!! :)

dem.

for now.
