Poll:Do you wear makeup everday? Is it bad for your skin?

Apparently I started wearing makeup(Foundation, sometimes blush, mascara,lipgloss/carmex) daily this year...but it's mineral makeup so i don't feel too bad about it...

I feel like w/o make up I look like i'm like, 12 LOL. ... and a bit insecure :/

Would you agree that makeup ages your skin? Or is it okay to use as long as you properl remove it before you go to bed?

I think it ages one’s skin. I don’t wear make up and i’m slightly insecure…but I don’t show it all the time. Make up is just…I don’t see the point in it…

Okkk so i’m going to apply a mask on my face so I look pretty…no, you look pretty without it, embrace it :)

I only wear make-up to school. I like to look presentable and it boosts my confidence so I can perform better on tests and quizzes.

I don’t really care THAT much about my skin. I wash my face in the shower in the morning and that’s about it. Mine is mineral based, too.

Just don’t make a big deal out of it, I guess.

I paint an inch thick.

speaking of…i’ve had SUCH bad, random breakouts in the past couple of months…like, i get these really painful zits that won’t go away for so long, & it’s SO bothersome. & it’s deff because i never really take my foundation off. ugh, kill me.

^ Drink milk!!

haha, i don’t like regular milk. i’ll drink chocolate, from time to time : P
i don’t like cheese, either.
i’m really picky when it comes to what i eat/drink :]

ha, nice. I’m not very fond of milk either. I drink 2% because it helps acne. I never break out! but when I don’t drink it…I get pimples on my forehead which my friends say are barely visible…because they are deep in the skin…

Washing one’s face can also be beneficial.

No, I don’t wear make-up.

Have you guys ever tried the aspirin mask? I guess it depends on the individual but a lot of people (including me) will swear by this. After one use, you’ll find a nice improvement the next day. After a week of continuous use, you’ll have basically clear skin (depending how bad your acne is).

I wear minimal makeup to school and a little bit more when I go out. But I can definitely last without it, and I think my skin also benefits as a result.

My goal is to not look like a completely different person when I don’t wear makeup. There are unfortunately too many people I know like that though. =/

yeah, ide wear that much to school. pretty much just foundation because my skin tone is kind of uneven + a little eyeliner. i deff wear a lot more when i go out, though.

“I feel like w/o make up I look like i’m like, 12 LOL. … and a bit insecure :/”

Ohhh… That’s hot!

This time I’m joking.

Though seriously, make-up is designed to make women look younger. Unless you’re 14, then I guess it makes you look older.

I have a friend who makes a big deal about properly removing makeup, dirt, and oil and then immediately applying rejuvenating lotion. She has both daily and weekly routines to clean and hydrate her skin, as well as to prevent breakouts.

I think she’s going a bit overboard, and she’s probably catering more to the cosmetics market than to her own skin’s health, but to each her own I guess. She does a really good job of maintaining herself, though.

Although I think it’s a good idea to remove debris from your skin and pores at least every few days. This doesn’t really apply to you, but I apply both morning moisturizing aftershave and evening facial wash. It takes less than two minutes each, but it helps (I think).

I dunno how this affects the “natural” balance of oils on my skin though. Oh well…

I just wear eye makeup - eyeshadow, eyeliner, and mascara.

I don’t really know what to do when it comes to skin makeup…

I don’t wear makeup its stupid and only insecure girls wear it.

I just can’t be bothered to wear it. I used to wear eye makeup about two years ago, but then I discovered the joys of sleeping half an hour later (which counts for a lot around exam time).

^ I don’t think that’s strictly true.

No, not necessarily. How much makeup you wear doesn’t directly correlate to how insecure you are. Obviously if you’re wearing pounds of it every day, there’s a problem. But I also know lots of confident girls who wear makeup.

“I don’t wear makeup its stupid and only insecure girls wear it.”

only insecure girls deem girls who wear make-up as ‘insecure’. how sad for you.

I don’t wear makeup except for performances and dances.
