3 Sophomore, 4 Junior, 3 Senior--The reason I go down senior year is that we are an IB school, and we do HL bio or chem which are AP, but take up two class periods. Plus, our History is the Latin America half of HL Hist. of the Americas (US Jr. Year, as is usual) and there is no corresponding AP. Also, we take Eng. Lang. Sophomore year and Lit. Jr. year, finishing the Engs. So that leaves me with only room for Chem, French, and Calc BC in my schedule.

Ugh... I hate how we have to have Pre-AP science classes and we only can pick one science AP in our senior year. So yes, I'm self-studying so I can have all three. Within school:

Freshman year: They don't think we measure up to it.

Sophomore year: *AP World History
*Tentative: AP Computer Science AB, if I can teach myself some additional material over the summer and have introductory computer science done with "credit by exam" held in October.

Junior year:*AP US History
*AP Spanish IV
*AP English III

Senior year: *AP English IV
*AP Spanish V
*AP US Government and Politics
*AP Psychology
*I'll just take AP Chemistry with Ms. K because she's so cool.
*I forgot: AP Calculus BC

So hopefully, I'll have nine or ten APs completed in school. However, if I measure up to it by self-studying, I plan to take the tests for AP Chinese and AP Japanese (I love Asian culture). And of course, I'll test for AP Bio and AP Physics C. I can't believe there are so many APs out there! So, if I stick to what I just posted, I'll have 15 APs, all of which I actually wanted to take with enthusiasm.

*And personally, I do think it's a waste of cash to take all 35 APs. Take APs that you actually have a sincere interest in, that might actually play a crucial role in your future major/career.

*By the way, public schools are failing America's youth. Fight your way out of the brain drain. Self-study, my friends.

Uh sophomore - world; junior - german, us, physics b, and lang, senior year if i decide to stay in high school another year - calc ab, economics, physics c, lit, and drawing.
Soooo 10 or 5 i dunno.

craziness. I hate.. no i don't . i won't be angry unless, they start letting these "little got ahead because the system decided we all need to be in front of ourself kiddies" ( because let's be honest you aren't that damn special... neither are the gifted kids[they just fidget too much] because if all us older kids would have been on the same track we would have been made disgusting high standard for the boogers)..anyway if they start getting so far ahead in credits they're allowed to skip.
Then, i'd be ****ed to hell.
I should not have to compete with some little know it all because they gave you everythings.... which i will in a few years, but i'm going into a creative line of work... and i am a force to be glanced at.
Ok.. right my point, the only people who have an excuse for having 90 billon AP classes are Internation Bac's because they wnat to kill themselves anyway... and let them, they signed up for it grinning inour faces, laugh as they totally freak.
[BTW: that's IB kids only, because the CIS kids are bunch of easy breezey SUCK UPS.. you know it's true. Half of them can't even tell you what they do or why they sign up... but the will at the drop of a hat fly to CHINA.]
Back to the point: Some of these AP classes for freshman... are dumb. POINTLESS.IN fact taking an AP class as a freshman doesn't make sense... you do realise that by sumbitting your "college credit" you're saying i know this... just like college kids.. when less face it... no you don't. You teacher told you what you needed to pass but it was a highschool class.. nothing can change that. just because you understod Thoreau and wrote what you teacher wanted doesn't mean you're smart.. it means you're not bored or at least dismayed.
In conclusion.. yeah I'll be taking 4 AP classes(only getting 3 college credits) and no my "school plan" didn't let me take AP til junior year.. but all in all .. i feel like it's a load of croc. A pointless status quo that i have to sumbit to to keep up(to get into NYU).. i don't feel as if i'm any smarter by taking this crap. I hope i'll learn something that's of more than thumb twidling worth.
Even the suck ups may agree...

But doesn't your high school recognize that competition for college admission has gotten more intense than ever? Don't they care? I think my school offers 16 APs, but unfortuantely prerequisites block you from taking all of them within the curriculum.

But they only offer each AP (other than physics and english) one block every year because they dont have enough teachers for AP and the seniors get priority over us juniors and there are SO many pre-reqs

We need 3 years of honors english before AP, 2 years of honors us history and 1 of honors world before AP us hist, 3-4 years of honors math before AP calc, and 3 years of honors science classes before ANY of the 3 AP science classes plus we need the 4 years of gym, 2 years of art, 2 years of language, and 2 years of technology to meet, so yeah, it sucks

the ap calc class has 31 kids, i almost got kicked out because im a junior. lots of slackers at my school.

and even though im number 1 or 2 in my class, he discourages me taking all the ap science...he's like why not just take 2 ap sciences and ap english and not history and 1 of the ap sciences, don't want to get too stressed...i get so mad at him especially since he is the last one out of the 4 counselors to fill out schedules, so we are usually the ones who get kicked out of some classes.
