Just of of curiosity, how many schools do all you rising seniors plan to apply to? :)

1-3
4-6
7-9
10-13
14-16
17+ (Geezzz...)

At least 3

17+?

More like 27+ for me :)

Probably 10 colleges so that I’ll have many options. :)

The “Shot gun” method is always helpful because you truthfully don’t know how college admissions will go in advance. Having many options is a good thing so you’ll have back up plans, and can compare offers.

I plan to apply to at least 3 but I’m guessing I may apply to about 10-12.

5 or 6

1 Reach
2 or 3 Matches
2 Safeties

I’m planning on applying to 10-13 schools. I’m truly interested in all of them, and just want to see how admissions and financial aid pan out to help determine where to matriculate.

Probably either 7 or 8. Depends on how my road trip in August goes.

i want to apply to a bunch, but i also dont want to spend a fortune on application fees and test sending fees. it will be like 4 reaches, 4 matches and 2 safeties

3 safeties
5 matches
2 reaches

it really just all depends on which i would leave with the least amount of debt.

7-13 maybe…gotta visit colleges!

4-6

I’m in between 2 colleges I really like, but I’ll apply to some others as safeties and others just to see if I can get in. :)

Planning on 21 at the most, 14 at the fewest.

I’m debating on whether its more logical to apply to more reaches, matches, or safeties.

I’d say from most to least, matches, reaches, safeties. ^^^

10-13
1 safety (so far…might add one more)
3 matches (might add 2 more)
7 reaches

Looking at 3 reaches, 4 matches, 2 safeties

To the poster who said 23, I hope you were joking. 1) waste of money 2) your counselor will probably refuse to do them all.

i have 9 on my list now, might cut one of the matches

3 reaches
3 matches (2 good, 1 low)
3 safeties

probably something like…

4 reaches
3 matches
3 safeties
