There seems to be a LOT of debate over this question. It's come down to people that think the answer is 8:3 and 2:1.

Since we can't actually make polls on here, please post your answer below, no need to explain why. This is just to get a consensus on the question. Please do not argue, and only post your answers, no need for anything else. I'll tally up the results tonight and edit the original thread.

2:1. And I frequently got 800s on practice tests in math.

EDIT: Also, the results of this poll shouldn’t be taken too seriously. The final question in an SAT Math section is designed to fool most people, so if we were to go with the most popular answer, we’d probably be wrong!

Yeah guys, I did quickly and got 8:3. Redid most of the test and went back to that question, read it over again and changed my answer to what I’m 100% sure is the correct one.

What we’re saying is that there was no marker at the beginning, only at the 6, 12, and 18. Not at the 9. Therefore, 8:3, not 8:4.

It comes down to whether or not there was one at the start. I remember there was only one of the two at the start, and not the other, but I could be wrong. It seems like most people picked 2:1, but I guess we’ll find out.

2:1
Source: I drew a picture and read it over 5 times, 800 on math II, and didn’t make any other mistakes of all the questions posted on CC threads.
