I followed the normal sequence. Whoo. Hoo. My school doesn't offer anything above Calc BC... but then again I suppose I don't have a powerful yearning for knowledge or something or else I would have self-studied or taken a college course. I feel so disappointed in myself- I can't believe that I haven't fulfilled my intellectual potential. Pfft.

9th - H Geometry
10th - H Algebra II
11th - H Precalc
12th - AP Calc BC

3rd/4th/5th/6th -- I'm the best math student at my elementary school and am on track to go right into Algebra for my 7th grade year. However, I go to India (against my will) during the 6th grade, and I miss out on negatives (How to know if your answer is negative or positive when doing addition, subtraction, multiplication, division). I knew NOTHING about negatives and when I come back I'm do state testing all of a sudden and I BOMB the math because I don't know negatives.
7th grade -- Placed in a basic math class; finally get to switch to a normal Pre-Algebra class.
8th grade -- Algebra 1-2 (Algebra I)
9th grade -- Geometry
10th grade -- Algebra 3-4 (Algebra II)
11th grade -- Math Analysis (Pre-calculus)
12th grade -- AP Calculus

That stupid trip to India that my parents forced me to go on really screwed up my math sequence for me. I should have taken Calculus my junior year :(

I didn't take math in school in 7th grade and 8th grade but it went something like this

7th: Alg I/II
8th: Geometry/Math Analysis (aka Pre-Calc)
9th: IB Methods I (took AP Calc AB exam)
10th: IB Math HL-2 (took AP Calc BC exam)
11th: AP Stat and M52 Multivariable Differential Calc through EPGY (but I am currently not even close to being done with the course in time so I gotta get the move on)

12th: IB Math HL-3 and maybe a course per EPGY again

Self study BC, make a 5, and don't worry. XD That's the attitude that will turn you insane. Honestly, it depends on your field. If you're planning on becoming an astrophysicist, then you should take the initiative. Classical languages, not so much.

6th - Some random math class
7th - Some random math class
8th - Some random math class
9th - Some random math class
10th - Some random math class
11th - Some random math class
12th - Some random math class . . .

9th- Algebra I -insert gasp here-
Summer between 9th/10th - Algebra II
10th- Geometry
10th (second semester course...yay for no lunch!) - Intro to Calculus

I'm probably gonna take Calc AB junior year...

9th - precalc
10th - ap calc bc
11th - multivariable calculus, linear algebra
12th - dynamical systems, abstract algebra, doing random diff-eq stuff on my own

6th- Honors math (a final review of what was learned in grade school really)
7th- Honors pre-algebra
8th- Honors algebra I
9th- Honors geometry
10th- Honors algebra II
11th- Honors pre-calculus
12th- AP Calculus AB

9th: Alegebra I
10th: Al/Trig AND Geometry
11th: Precalc
12th: Calc AB

I wish I took BC, but I couldn't because my stupid elementary school is so far behind in math, and there's no other way. And what type of schools do some of you people go to? I thought the highest math for most schools at senior year was Calc BC.
