I'm going to say.......40%.

2nd question: Why?

P.S. I got a 2350. I swear on my grandmother.

2nd question: Why?

P.S. I got a 2350. I swear on my grandmother.

Probably more than half. //Mensa159

People obviously won't admit it....

Why? Maybe some are insecure or just weird. Who knows?

I haven't lied...yet

who would lie about their scores on CC, its not like you actually know the people, so who cares whether they think you got a 2300?

OP:

check the care cup _/, its empty

And even if you do care, I bet everybody are just lying except for the people who have like decent grades and maybe a few who had good grades.
I mean, a human would not openly discuss about their own failure like if it wasn't a big concern. so people who say they got like a 2.0 gpa may be faking.
On the other hand, some retards like to just impress other people because they don't have any friends and want attention from someone so they just post that they got the 2400 or 2390 just to have "fun." retards...

you must really have no life if you think people would come on CC and lie about their scores. people have better things to do with their life than post fake grades/SAT scores on CC. Under 5% of people are lying

OH...HAHAHA...

I have posted fake stats a bunch of times, BUT i have always told later on or in the same post that they are fake...

Rule of thumb: divide stated score by two...:D

no way man
under 5?
that's crazy
and it's not that i don't have a life
it's that other people have no lives hahahahaha
retarded people, i mean
you may not have lied and I really don't care if someone lies or not, but imo most lies about their grades.
maybe not radically, but still kind of
do not believe in people too much, it's deleterious lol
(tried to use those sat words cuz i'm studying them but i just suck at it.. omg)

LOL zoogies. I don't lie about my scores. I assume others aren't lying either. Maybe I'm just gullible? I'd guess about 20% might stretch, and of those maybe 5-10% blatantly make scores up.

Lying about scores can only hurt you. If you ask people to evaluate you when you say "I have perfect grades/scores/ECs/etc", sure, you'll feel pretty good about the positive feedback you will inevitably receive, sure. However, don't be so surprised if you don't do as well as people say you will because they have a false impression of your application.

But then again, more than 12000 people in 2004 get higher than 1500 on the old SAT according to collegeboard.com. That's a whole lot, and assuming 10% of them read and contribute to this forum....well.

Well I think about 90%. I doubt that it is serious lying though. I mean I bet most people just alter the truth a bit like giving themselves a few extra points on standardized tests or increasing their class rank by a tiny bit. I am sure that some people do post blatent lies but I bet that they are few and far between. They probably do it to boost self-esteem and make themselves feel more confident about themselves.

i think alot of ppl on cc do it because of the respect they might earn on here.. for instance id rather want advice from a person who scores a 2300 more then a person who scored a 1900 on the sat's...

Seeing all the super high scores on here makes me want to try even harder to raise my own scores.

Keep lying, folks!

I used to lie about my old SAT scores (I bumped them up by 30 points)...but I'm proud of my current scores, and don't lie about them.

lol why would anyone lie? that defeats the whole purpose. go out guys! get a life.

I lied about my score on ONE thread - the one with PSAT/SAT comparisons. My prediction was too high though. :(
