Poly sci at UCSD

how does the the poly sci programs compare with ucsd and uci?
i hear ucsd is ranked very high.

ucsd has a great poli sci program… although I couldn’t find any undergraduate rankings, our graduate school consistently ranks in the top ten in the nation (and undergraduate programs usually reflect their graduate counterparts).

The graduate rankings are all over the place… but ucsd always beats uci

I would trust these rankings the most (US News and World Report):
UCSD, #7. UCI, # 36. ([Rankings - Political Science - Graduate Schools - Education - US News and World Report](http://grad-schools.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-graduate-schools/top-political-science-schools/rankings/page+2))

UCSD, #9. UCI, #32 ([Top Programs in Political Science](http://www.postmaterial.org/collegerankings/politicalsci.php))

UCSD, #6. UCI, #7 (<a href=“Political Studies – Social Science”>Political Studies – Social Science)

 • Although I find it REALLY hard to believe ucsd and uci beat Princeton, Yale, and Berkeley… so I don’t know if I trust this one…

I think poli sci is the most popular non science major here, and for good reason.

I know this is off topic, but the banners around campus say that we’re #3 in the nation for our theater and dance program! But yes, poli sci is incredibly popular and top notch. I’m pretty sure a very wide swath of people are either human bio or poli sci of some sort.

the poly sci classes are really interesting and fun, and the professors tend to be younger (and hotter, prof hajnal, mmm)

That’s my program, and I’m psyched that I got in as a transfer with a 3.3. I picked UCSD for this program, and hope it’s a good launching pad to grad school.
