Pomona and Med School

<p>This is where Pomona grads immediately went last year. You can look through and see if the acceptance rate is there.

<p>I’m not pre-med, but it’s pretty popular at Pomona. I think the biggest difference for those choices would be class sizes in the pre-med req classes. I’m sure they can get pretty big at Stan/WashU, while at Pomona they stay relatively small. There also won’t be TA’s, as there are no grad students. Typically, intro classes at the larger schools end up dividing into smaller groups run by TA’s, so you don’t get much interaction with the actual professor. I’d also assume that translates into advising, just because there are less pre-meds to advise and therefore more individual attention.</p>

<p>Beyond that, med schools won’t really differentiate between an applicant from any of those three schools. Your son should go wherever he’ll be happiest.</p>
