POMONA chances... ED

hi, i'm a white female hs junior from CT and wondering about my chances if i were to apply ED to pomona college in claremont.

SATS - 750m 750cr 680w on first try - i plan on at least getting writing up however
GPA - not very good, 3.8 weighted maybe? i get about an A-/B+ average
classes - all honors all through hs; AP's: 10th - bio (5 on test), 11th - chem, us hist, and euro, 12th - spanish, english, physics, calc, gov, and maybe econ (?)
sports - field hockey player all 4 years, 2 years on varsity, next year i'll be a captain. also play in an olympic training program in the offseason. i ran track soph year and continue to run although not through track. i dance 2 nights a week, not too serious, but i've been doing it for 12 years
extracurics - a lot of clubs soph year but in 11th channeled all my energy into student council (i was a rep in 10th but not in 9th). VP in 11th, almost definitely pres in 12th.
community service - some here and there, but plan on starting a small environmental nonprofit with a friend

my grades are honestly not the best but i'm taking hard classes. i'd say my grades are my biggest problem right now so i'm trying to get them up. any suggestions on how to improve chances/my chances as of now? thanks (:

you know that the ED deadline for Pomona has already passed, right?
it was the 28th.

yeah... i'm a junior. not applying this year.

anyone?....

first of all your GPA is fine, your ec's dont need to be super great cuz u play sports which are like every day. But go for it, if u apply ED you need to make it obvious they are in fact your number 1 college. i.e. visit (i know your far), or maybe local interviews, or just mailing and talking to them...they are people too and like talking and helping

ok, i actually visited last summer and plan to again this summer. but wouldn't applying ED demonstrate that they're my first choice?
