Hey guys, just thought I should start a thread for the Fall 2021 Transfer! D-day in 6 days!
Hey! Do you happen to know the transfer acceptance rate for Pomona?
Thank you for starting this thread. I was so disappointed when I went to open my portal at 5 pm on the day they announced our decisions would be posted with regular decisions. Hopefully, April 1st will be a different story
Do a search for the Pomona Common Data set and then look under Transfer Admissions. Estimates are about 10%.
Last year’s announcement
“ In addition, the College admitted 26 transfer students. Twelve of the admitted transfer students currently attend a community college, and 10 are first-generation students. Two new transfer students are Kaplan Leadership Scholars, one is a semi-finalist for the Jack Kent Cooke Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship and one has been awarded a Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship. ”
I’m so confused about this disparity between their posted announcement and the CDS data.
Maybe it is because they accepted people from the waitlist?
Anyone check their portals yet? I think the release is at 5 pm Pacific today. I am so nervous!

This is really helpful! I did, thank you so much.
I am so nervous, good luck everyone!

Yes, that’s it.
Waitlist…not bad but not good either. Anyone else get waitlist?
The letter for accepted students says 23 transfers were accepted in this cycle, a significant decrease from last year.
This could mean there’s a good chance that the wait list will be used. The Transfer Statistics posted above for fall 2020 says that 39 were accepted and 20 enrolled. If Pomona wants 20 transfer students, based on the prior rate, 23 accepted would not be enough.
Are most people transferring from 2 year to 4 year, or is anyone on this post trying to transfer from another 4 year institution?
Thanks!
I got in as transfer! Class of 2023 Sagehens!!
