hi! So I’m a senior and just wanted to get some outside opinions on my chances at Scripps, Pomona College, UCLA, UCSD, SDSU, Cal Poly Slo, Stanford, Rice, Columbia, UPenn, San Francisco State, UC Berkeley, UC Irvine, USC

GPA: 4.52 W, 3.93 UW, 4.21 UC
Class Rank: 11/ 932
ACT: 32
SAT: 1970 (took in October, will update on Thursday)
Essay: I’m a pretty strong writer. I plan on writing about how my fathers addictive and destructive personality has shaped me or on how my autistic brother has taught me patience & acceptance
Recommendations: The teacher recommendations should be pretty good, but the counselor one might be a bit typical.
AP: AP Euro (2, won’t report), AP Bio (4), AP Calc AB (5), AP Physics C (3: should I report?), AP Eng. Lang (4), APUSH (4), AP Comp Sci, AP Eng. lit (next year), AP Stats (next year), AP Psychology (next year), AP Gov (next year), AP Econ (next year)

You are a strong applicant for all these schools. As always, Stanford/Columbia/Pomona will be tough admits.
If you cannot get your SAT into the 2200 range, just submit the ACT if possible.

Great accomplishment against all adversities you had in life! I think you are good for all the UCs (raise up your ACT by 1 or 2 or SAT to 2200 to have stronger chances for UCB/UCLA). Pomona, Stanford, Rice and Ivies are Low/reaches.
