Pomona ED II

hey condition and analysis, I know it probably still stings, but would you mind posting up stats and your main EC’s ??

Maybe later, DoinSchool. But after reading all the previous Pomona decision threads, I really don’t think stats are useful for helping understand the admissions process. You just can’t tell. Anyways, good luck! I hope you get in.

do you have a link to the past admissions results?

Just search “official pomona decisions” there are several of them.

If you scroll to the bottom of the forum page, change the option from “the past month” to “all time” and you’ll see a lot more threads.

Deferred from Seattle, WA. :frowning: This sucks, but I guess I’ll have to go above and beyond what I had to offer them EDII when they make my RD decision. Good luck to the rest of you!

General Comments: The Admissions Process SUCKS!

rejected. oh well, i’m disappointed but i saw it coming. the blow was softened by having another letter from willamette offering 15k/year. good luck to all deferred peoples and CONGRATULATIONS to all accepted!!

Rejected. Weirdly okay with it though, it was a reach.
Congrats to all accepted!

(((failhug))), good luck at your other schools

I’m sorry guys, I totally feel for you.

I don’t think it can be overstated just how selective Pomona is. This year should be around 13%, which is more selective than a couple of the Ivy’s. It’s almost unjust how other schools around this level of selectivity are much better known among the general public, haha. But it doesn’t really matter, since most of the people applying to Pomona couldn’t care less about it’s general obscurity.

Hey I’m really sorry to hear about the rejections. Seems like they were extra harsh on us this year.

Does anyone know if they send all letters by snail mail cause I live overseas and it would take forever for it to get to me…

International applicants receive an e-mail with a paper followup.

Good luck!

Rejected :frowning: oh well, congrats to all who get in!

Sorry to hear that katey :(.

1 acceptance out of this whole thread…That’s depressing

sorry katey, i’m in the same boat. I kind of wish I applied to pitzer or occidental now. cali is such a cool place to go to school and i hate cold weather. i hope we hear about more cc’ers who were accepted but I would think that they would have already posted.

i live overseas and i haven’t heard anything from Pomona yet…not through email or mail or anything…does that mean I’m pretty much rejected?

I live overseas, so chances are I’m not getting a letter. I thought that if I was getting an email, it would have come by now? Does anyone know when I’ll hear from them?
