Bump! OH and when is the best time to visit? How is March?

visit either in the spring or in the fall. I went first in the summer and loved it, but didn't get a feel for the students. I visited again this October (senior year) and did an interview and overnight stay. If you live far away, definitely do it when you can get an interview (check on their websites, I'm not sure whether they allow them for Juniors in the spring.)

I'm a junior from Oregon so I am relatively close to campus.. well at least I could be farther. Is an overnight stay worth it?

Try to avoid visiting in March during spring break since you won't be able to sit in on any classes or talk with any random students on campus.

Good luck!

Since march is my spring break I think i am forced to visit during the 2nd week of march or so. Hopefully some students will still be around! :)

Spring Break for Pomona is March 10-18, just to let you know.

My spring break is the 24 to the 31 of March, will there be students there after your spring break?

Of course! As long as you visit sometime other than March 10-18, there will be classes in session and students to talk to.

I can't wait! I can't do an overnight stay as a junior can I?

Pomona SAT! Do people get admitted with below 2100. Will a 2150-2200 (their average scores) on SAT or a 31/32 ACT be good enough for the ADcom?

Gah! I hate Standardized testing...

Yes, people do get admitted with an SAT below 2100. Pomona seems to do a good job not just looking at SAT's, but you would need to have some strong EC's.

In my opinion my EC's are strong, but do i have a hook? If not, what was a hook that got you in?

Well for me it was the fact that I'm a female lacrosse goalie-- luckily for me, schools (especially California schools) seem desperate for them

With all the track you do, that's definitely a great hook. You seem interested n running at college so I would definitely contact the coach!

The event you're running for the shoe collection is also a great hook, along with some of the other clubs you do

Question about ED1 vs. ED2?

Is there a difference in the applicant pool and which should i apply in for the best chances possible?
