Someone told me about good Pomona schools that prepare you to get into med school. So I was wondering to see if anyone knew who they were?

Your friend probably meant Pomona College, the #6 liberal art college in the nation and a part of the Claremont University Consortium.

Harvey Mudd is another very prestigious Claremont college. More students from Mudd go on to earn a PhD than any other university in the nation other than CalTech.

For more on the Claremont Colleges: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Claremont_Colleges

They’re probably referring to the Claremont Colleges [Welcome to Claremont.EDU](http://www.claremont.edu/)

Crossposted with sentimentGX4.
Don’t know what you mean by that. None of these colleges are in Pomona; they’re in Claremont. Pomona, Claremont McKenna, and Harvey Mudd are all very prestigious; Scripps and Pitzer are highly regarded as well.

^You’re right. Sorry about that. Pomona College moved to Claremont in 1889. I feel bad for the city of Pomona. -.-

Fixed my post.

Thanks alot!

Pomona College was in the city of Pomona at one time? News to me; now I know. Rather than the location thing, I was more referring to your assertion that Pomona alone among the five colleges is prestigious.

the claremont colleges are really fine institutions with very high academic standards. the question is – do you have the stats to get into any of those colleges? because these are hard schools to get into.

The only senior college actually located in Pomona is California Polytechnic State University. Mostly known for engineering; electrical, mechanical, aerospace.
