Pomona's FA for International

Hi fellas, im from Viet Nam & i ve just joined this board .i have questions for interna' students in Pomona, Im not really sure about how max FA for intena' is . can u guy give me some answer ?. Also, I d love to make friends with all freshman in Pomona this year because next year i ll apply 2 Pomona so I need some exp', thank you guys
i am VIetnamese citizen and i can pay 3000 $ per year. If i increase the academic and other stuffs, do i have chance

I don't know the details, but I have a good friend who is an international student and she's on full financial aid. I think full FA for internationals isn't all that rare...

Pomona's official position is that it is need-blind when it comes to financial aid. If the admissions thinks you'll be able to meaningfully contribute to Pomona's community (if that accept you, that is), then you should get financial aid for whatever your family can't provide.

Actually, for domestic applicants, Pomona ** admissions ** is need-blind, while its financial aid is 100% need-*based *. However, this doesn't apply for international students: for international students, financial need is actually considered in admissions. The Pomona Admissions International Student Guide says: "Pomona College provides financial aid for approximately four to six freshman international students each year. . . . Financial need is taken into consideration by the Admissions Committee for all applicants who are not U.S. citizens or permanent residents."

ashleesman, I suggest you read the International Student Guide carefully. Here's the link: http://pomona.edu/ADWR/Admissions/Forms/IntStudentGuide.pdf

yea, in tour guide training we learned that fin. aid for internationals is extremely competitive, and they can only give 5-6 awards each year

oops, my bad, missed the asterisk I guess
