pondering...

Okay, so besides extracurriculars and classes and such (well I will just say that I have a 4.47 GPA), what good schools (not necessarily great) can a 2160 first try SAT I get me into? In other words what solid safety schools can this alone give me????

PS sats are 790 math, 630 (ewww) verbal, 740 writing

Most of the schools out of the top 50 will rubber stamp any application with such a high SAT score.

okay well then what kinds of schools am i looking at?? anyone?

Seriously, sat scores alone don't determine what type of school you get into. I've seen people with those stats go to third-tier schools because they want to get full-ride scholarships.

A friend of mine had a 2190 and got into Emory, Wellesley, Carnegie Mellon, and the UNiversity of TExas in Austin. She had a bunch of state awards and was a minority. I'm just saying, we need more information other than your SAT score to tell you what type of shcool you can get into.

But ok, okay, if I have to tell you a list of schools:
You'd probably be suited for schools like Emory University and Carnegie Mellon in terms of ranking. Anything above the US news rankings of 25, I'd say you needed something more than a 2160 (Good extracurriculars, good recs, or SOMEthing)

You should be competitive at the five US Service Academies.
