Poor attention span or impatience?

After i read for at least up to 2 pages in a textbook and 5 pages in a novel, i get tired, kind of like an impatient feeling. I have been diagnosed with ADD, but lately i have been questioning it.

When i first dive into a book, it takes me a short while to "jumpstart" my brain and understand what's going on. Sometimes i have to go back to the beginning to fully understand what i just read. Before, i would have to do that four times, but now it's just one time. Does that sound ADD-ish?

If it is a patience problem, is there anyway to improve that or is impatience ingrained me since childhood and impossible to break?

I am interested in this question.

I think has something to do with impatience more than poor attention span.

Does anybody else think so?

Personally, I think that everyone has ADD to some extent. Before you go read the book, make sure you're calm, with no TV on to distract, etc.

Of course, I have no educational background to support this, just my experience when studying on my own.
