I have many reaches. Am graduating from a top private New England prep school, only newspaper manager, intramural sports, a couple of clubs. Grades aren't that hot, over all average of 2.8, SAT 1900, SAT Math 1C 650, Spanish 800, French 650. My recommendations should be good, as well as my essays. I am a foreign student from the Caribbean.

What are my chances at:
Cornell
U Chicago
Notre Dame
Babson
Tufts
Boston College
Georgetown
Amherst

Sorry, but I don't think you have very good chances at all to any of those schools, although I'm not too familiar with Babson or Amherst. Being from a top NE prep school can only do you so much. The schools you're applying to will look at that GPA and SAT a ton more. I recommend looking at the following schools...

UConn- Reach (not a huge reach, but still a reach. especially if you're out of state. If you're in-state, you're probably in)
Rutgers
UMass
Ohio State
Penn State/Pitt (both are reaches, but not massive reaches)

Yes I would be considered an international school, which may help from diversity point of view, but could also hurt under the idea that I would be taking away a local student's spot. One thing that helps some internationmal students is that usually they don't ask or qualify for financial aid and pay full tuition and board, even when supposedly schools don't take this into consideration.
