Poor GPA but great SAT I score?

Does anyone know any colleges/universities that focused on SAT scores (and possibly rigor of secondary school record) rather than on GPA. For example, Occidental College states that they consider SAT scores to be "Important" while academic GPA is only "Considered."

My SAT scores are pretty solid (M:750, CR:750, W:740) but I have a low unweighted GPA (~3.0) since I challenged myself with practically only honors or AP classes.

Of course there are other factors like the ECs, essay, recommendations, etc. Just considering the SAT and GPA, which schools would consider an applicant with a good SAT score and a low GPA?

Also, any schools that would ignore or overlook grades in freshman and maybe sophmore year?

I’d say state schools would be a good bet. Many admit by formula and a high SAT can balance the GPA. UCs look good for you as they also don’t count freshmen year in their GPA calculation.

UCs sound awesome, but I live on the east coast :(

There are newfangled things known as airplanes:) Many E. Coast kids go to W, Coast schools. Though UC’s are expensive for OOS students, but still less than good privates.
