Hey! Hey!
Michigander here!
I graduated from alternative high school with a 1.9 GPA. Never had a job, or did any extracurricular activities. Currently, I am on the dean's list. I have taken sixteen credit hours of class. This next semester I will take a good eighteen credit hours. I have a 3.542 GPA for one semester.(It would have been higher, but my English teacher didn't write down a grade she gave me for my paper) I could get two really great recommendations from my professors, and maybe a third one from my math professor. My ACT composite score is 27. I could probably improve that to a 30, if I retook it again. What else? I am half Native American. My parents are divorced, have been for quite a while. My father is schizophrenic, and on disablility because of his mental illness. Do you think that U of M would accept me as a transfer? What if I did really well next semester, and started volunteering/working someplace. Do you think that I might be able to get in to a really good school if I brought that GPA up to like a 3.6 or 3.7? I could go for the gold and get straight a's all next semester. If I got straight a's next semester, and I worked really hard? could I get in to a "great" school, having such a horrible high school academic record?

I suppose going to MSU is just as good as going to U of M. No matter what, I am transfering out of Community College this next term. : )
