Poor method to applying, unhappy college choice

During the application process I feel that I worried far too much about applying to affordable schools. Some schools that I felt were matches I left off my list, while others I ended up applying to anyways but last minute. The school I will be attending was one I put down at random because a friend goes there. It was my fourth choice, and I will be attending because they gave me the most money, but I feel that the distance and location is unnecessary, however pleasant the south may be. I have always wanted to go to a school in Boston, namely Northeastern for its co-op program, and was accepted for the spring semester as I applied literally days before the deadline. I feel that I was a decent candidate for this school, but went about applying to it all wrong and should have used early action. Would attending the school that I chose for a year and then attempting to transfer be my best bet? Of course the total cost has a large impact on many applicants' decisions, I just feel that no matter how much I'll end up liking my school, it's not where I want to be and doesn't offer me the same opportunities as Northeastern.

Yeah if it turns out horrible, you may want to transfer. Maybe see what happens for a year.

hey just try your best and who knows maybe you will enjoy your freshman year and grab a whole new perspective. If you still feel the same way then transfer. Best thing is to try your best and try and go into your current school with an open mind.

Yes, transfer. The south is rather deceiving.

One of my friends came to my school with it being her 4th choice. She loves it now. So who knows?
