I can't chance people because my opinions are totally baseless, but I just wanted to wish you luck. Chess, reading, and art? You give me hope that I'll be able to find a roommate with interests I can relate to (if I get in)!

So you're international? Where are you from?

You're FIFTEEN YEARS OLD!!!!????? And have SAT II scores like that??? Damn. I bet you're asian, since they have amazing schools over there.

im from Nigeria

Wow! That's pretty awesome, actually. Good luck!

All I can say is try to take the act. you obviously a very smart kid. I'd only be worried that vandy might be wary of taking a 15 year old. good luck.

sats are really bad: 650 M 550 CR 520 VB
SATii: bio 610, math ic 670 math 2c 710
Gpa: 3.5 unweighted all honors and APs
very strong leader---president of three clubs and part of others, captain of two varsity sports [possibly be a walk on for one at vandy]--on teh team since freshman year for both, do so much service for my school
so much extra circ. its crazy and so much community service
I did ED 2 to increase my chances
essay is really good
i did the interview--went very well
amazing recs
greek
the only weakness are my sats!! what do you think?

How did you do on your APs so far. A lot of people take APs and get pretty good grades in the classes, but if you do poorly on them, then it doesn't really matter.

Those score are low, but you never know.

laolu - I'm from Israel and when Vanderbilt came to explain about the school and an Israeli scholarship, the Admissions guy couldn't stop gushing over how they take into consideration that internation candidates may have lower test scores and that they understand, etc. I'm not sure how much to believe something like that, but it seems like your chances are pretty good...
