An Admin previously said it seems better using Full Site, not the mobile app.
I don’t have to delete all history. Sometimes, I do need toclose the CC tab

What mobile app? There isn’t a CC mobile app right now.
I’m using the full site on my iPad.
I can access Mobile Site via android. Not a separate downloaded app. On the bottom of this page, eg, it offers a “Back to Mobile Site” link.
It’s just CC. Why can’t this site fix this? Drives me nuts.
iPad users, I found Magic Lasso app which seems to be taking care of it. But agree, It is only here and they need to solve it.
Take a screenshot and send to admin@collegeconfidential.com so they can try to get it eliminated for everyone.
I’ve gone to CC on my phone about 15 times after loading adblock plus, just to test it. No more popup.
Frankly, at this point, they’ve seen the sample screenshots. What I wish we could determine is if the problem originates with a particular advertisement or a few of them.
Nrdsb4, thing is, it can come back next week or…
They have already received many screenshots of this spam screen. Not sure that more will make any difference. They all look the same.
Well, that’s me of the few constructive suggestions I’ve received when I get pop up spam, so I thought I’d share. I get different versions of spam so I try to always send them in.
The weird thing is, that never happened to me on my old beat up iPhone 6.
It happens on my 6s.
MAKE IT STOP.
Everyone who has this should contact @CCadmin_Sorin
It’s been an ongoing problem for quite a while and it’s basically been ignored or “we’re trying to duplicate it” or something along those lines.
I had the problem for the last couple of days on my iPad, but I didn’t tonight. Very annoying.
Today is the worst it’s been in a long while.
It’s awful
Really, people need to either PM @CCadmin_Sorin or post here: http://talk.qa.collegeconfidential.com/community-forum-issues/1995010-pop-up-spam.html#latest
Posting here will do nothing.
Not a single pop up. iPhone 7, very old iOS Now I jinxed it!
@romanigypsyeyes, thanks for reporting! This has by no means been ignored. As previously mentioned, we are diligently working with our Ad Networks to try to address this problem. This is an issue that is hitting all major websites, not just College Confidential. We have already implemented changes where possible, but these bad ad creators have become proficient in getting their bad ads through all of the normal filtering functions.
These ads are primarily impacting mobile users. Although the interface is not the same, a possible solution is to access the Full Site by entering at collegeconfidential.com and then accessing the forums from the top tab on the site. This essentially puts you into our desktop version which is not experiencing the same problems.
We apologize for the frustration this is causing and we will continue to work on solving the problem.
