<p>What are some really popular clubs or societies at Penn? </p>
<p>People have been telling me to choose only a few. so I was just wondering what the really popular/ important ones were at Penn :)</p>

<p>Don’t worry about it now. When you get to Penn in September, go to the activities fair, sign up for everything that looks even remotely interesting…you’ll probably end up attending a bunch of intro meetings (you won’t have time for all of them though) and then make your decision based on that.</p>
<p>Also, there are no specific “popular” or “important” clubs–it’s not like in high school where maybe being x of y club means you’re the top of the feeding order. No one cares what club you’re in; you’ll find that many of the friends you make will be through the clubs you join, whether they’re purely fun/socially oriented or more academic/professionally oriented.</p>
<p>I guess it really depends on what you like. If you like dancing, there’s TONS of groups you can join…some seem to be specific to certain countries/ethnicities and others are open to everyone. Honestly, I’d just wait till you’re there to see what you like.</p>
