do the popular people @ your hs have a lot of enemies/haters?

There's not really a specific "Popular group" at my school. Too many kids.

im talking about specific people, not groups.

There are no "popular" people at my school.

^ thats a load of b.s.

Obviously the popular kids are generally more liked than disliked. Life isn't like some cliched high school movie where popular kids are all evil and universally hated but people suck up to them anyway. Most popular people get that way by being friendly and treating others with respect.

Of course, some are just morons. (ie, jocks)

Try going to a school with 4,000+ kids.

Sure there's some kids that everyone knows by face because they're just involved in everything. But there's not really popular kids.

No, I think I know my school better than you do.
There are less than 40 people in my class of '08.
When it's that small, no one can be "popular" as everyone knows everyone. Especially when it's an all girls school and we get rather catty.

Get over yourself and the idea that "popular" exists everywhere.
Life isn't like bad teen movies.

Amen, sistah.

I think it works like that at either extreme-tiny schools or huge schools. Popularity pretty much doesn't exist at either end.

no real group of popular people...

too small.

They are a select few popular girls who have enemies even in their own "popular group," but most "popular" people are actually very nice like anyone else.

Just about everyone has enemies if you are good at anything, be it getting awards, playing sports, acing tests, or being popular. It's just how life works... the ones who aren't as good will subconsciously look for flaws in that person because it makes them feel better about themselves.

/generalization

At my old high school, there were a few "popular" people. Some were genuinely nice, while others faked it. I remember one student who is in line to be valedictorian (I was his only competition before I left) who everyone loved. To put it simply, he was one of those people who was "too nice". I was one of the few people who disliked him, but that's probably because I was one of the few people who noticed his faults. Not only did he cheat at the literary rally (and not get caught), but he called him mom a slut because she late bringing his lunch to school!

At my new school, which is state-sponsored and for academically gifted students, the few "popular" people I have met truly deserve their popularity. They are the people who are nice to everyone and really mean it.

yes they have alot of enemies and friends. kids try to suck up to them to become in the "group". but the kids that hate them are the ones that are picked on by that popular kid's group or w/e
