Popular TO Professors/Classes

Hi everyone! I am going to be doing Thematic Option in the fall and was wondering if current TO students can recommend any professors or classes. I'm not sure if the professors/classes stay the same every year, but any names of popular professors/classes would be appreciated nonetheless so I can keep this in mind during Orientation.
Thanks! =)

Since the professors do change, I suggest looking at senatecourseguide. That way you can get an idea of what the professor is like even if it wasn't for a TO class.

I took "Family Feud" with Russett last fall, and I really liked her, but the class was weird. It turned out to be a lot about incest. I would still recommend it though. Since you won't get course descriptions until orientation I would say go for what sounds interesting. You can get recommendations from other people other semesters.

i have a question about TO: did you find it fairly easy to get the classes you wanted/needed since TO is such a small program? I won't be attending Orientation until June 27/28 (and yes, while I know that isn't very late... i'm paranoid haha!), and while I know that the date of Orientation Sessions may have an impact on what classes you can get (i.e. the later the session, the worse class times, etc...), I was wondering if the same was true for students participating in TO. Anyone know? : )

they reserve slots and open them up for each orientations session, so you'll be fine going to a later one. first semester freshman TO courses are usually not a problem to get into. it's always all freshman, and there are more than enough slots for all TO students.
