do i need more safteties???

You better not emphasize your political connections on your application. I don't think it will benefit you at all.

What state are you from? Unless you live in California, it's not worth your time applying to any of the UC schools.

Don't worry about putting down that you helped out the Kerry campaign. I see no reason why that would be detrimental. 1) Most schools are democratic 2) Even if they are conservatives, they will still respect you for your passion and commitment to politics.

DUDE, calm down. Some college is goinng to accept you. It may not be Johns Hopkins or Cornell, but you'll go somewhere and you'll love it.

A 1310 is a great score, don't let this board get you down. Keep in mind the AVERAGE SAT score is a 1020.

im from california

Here's my humble opinion of your chances at:

Boston U...Very Good
Cornell...Iffy
George Washington U...Very Good
Johns Hopkins...Okay
U Puget Sound...Excellent
NYU...Good
Tufts...Okay

Well, what do you plan to major in?

You already have several safeties that I don't think you might need more. Besides, you don't want to spend too much $$ on application fees, do you?
