i'm in porter. my major is European history

i wonder whos in charge of naming the babies...

hey does anyone know if porter is accessible? meaning, is it far away from everyone else? do the buses cruise on down there?

also, is it true that we can eat at any dining hall by just sliding our id cards? like, if i want to visit my c9 friend for breakfast, can i just go up there and eat there?

Porter is not too far away from the bookstore and library. It is a ways from the gym and a good walk from the music/art buildings. The bus will take you anywhere though.

You can eat at any dining hall that you wish whenever they are open. Yes, you slide your I.D. card.

sweeeeet.
thanks :)

actually Porter is closer to art/music/theatre than any other college. i used to roll out of bed at 7:50 for my 8 am theatre classes.

kewkiekid, how were the co-ed bathrooms? hah

ditto, apacherose. are they awkward? or gross?
or is everything just laid back?

well, honestly, I lived on the Women's hall my frosh year, so that was single-sex (except when girls snuck their boyfriends in the shower...) so that was no biggie.

Basically, it's weird the first couple weeks, but you get over it. Have you ever shared a bathroom with your sibling? same deal. There are individual stalls for toilets, individual stalls for showers (w/changing areas behind curtains), a bank of sinks, and a wall of cubbies.

Janitors come through at least every other day, maybe every day, i'm not sure what the current contract is like. It's nearly always nasty Sunday nights, however, because it's not cleaned on the weekends and people tend to be especially nasty those times (drunk people don't aim well...)

Long story short - it's weird at first. you'll get used to it.
