Portfolio Requirements/hometest: Risd, Cooper Union, Mica, Parsons, Scad, Etc.

<p>Hello,</p>

<p>I am currently a freshman at Pasadena City College and am looking to transfer as an illustration major to one of the schools mentioned in the thread title, Cooper Union, RISD, and Parsons being my top 3. My portfolio is somewhat modest at the moment; it consists primarily of freelance work done in ink and graphite and demonstrates limited technical ability. I've never received instruction of any kind and am puzzled at where to begin looking for some. This being said, if anybody has recommendations as per how to approach strengthening my portfolio and/or preparing for a hometest, I would greatly appreciate hearing them.</p>
