I indicated that I would submit a slide room portfolio on the Harvard common app, but I’m not submitting anything through it. Will my application appear as incomplete or is it fine to just leave it?
Not in the least, as a portfolio is something extra – it’s not part of the required elements of an applicant’s file. My guess is that 98% to 99% of admits do not submit anything extra, so you will be absolutely okay. If it makes you feel better, you can certainly upload a note to the portal stating that you will not be submitting a portfolio and wish for your application to be consider with just the required elements.
