I am from NYC and lived in CA for a while. When I visited Portland I fell in love with the city and would love to attend a school in the downtown area. Does the portland campus have residence halls? Thanks.

Portland is a great city, isn’t it? U of O doesn’t have residence halls there that I’m aware of, although maybe they have connections to help with apartment leases. You might also check out Portland State which is right downtown. It’s a good school too.

citygirl1018, you should also be aware that only selected Uo programs are represented on the Portland campus:

If you have questions about whether the Portland or Eugene campus would be right for you, contact our Portland-based admissions cousnelor:

Check out Portland State, everyone loves it there.

I would prefer PSU over any other schools in the area but they do not seem to really have the major I seek. I wonder if they would be flexible and let me sort of manipulate the program just a bit to make my own degree? One of my housemates is a long time OR resident and she says Portland schools are known for giving students freedom when it comes to their degree programs and sometimes lets them create their own degree. Not sure if this is true. Any insight?

BTW I do plan on calling PSU to ask them about this personally but I have not gotten a chance to yet. In the meantime I would appreciate feedback =]
