Possibilities of Getting in?

Hello All,
I am in grade 11 at a public high school in Toronto,Ontario. I always thought I would be interested in going to a school down in Canada but after hearing about Barnard and reading about it I was absolutely fascinated by the programs they had and also the affiliation with Columbia.

I am very involved around my city I can say my ec’s are okay
here are some
Involved in a District School Board youth council representing over 70,000 youth
Director of Communications of a start up city youth council ( It will start next Novemeber but I am currently doing the behind the scene work talking to councilors in the city, media, and the mayor)
Yearbook Editor
United Way Youth Councillor
Free the Children Mobilizer Lead in Toronto.
DECA

I have always loved volunteering and getting involved within my city and I have made sure that I always have the time for it. I also work at a retail store which is great. When it comes to my grades I had a rough patch when I was younger especially grade 9 and 10 but this year my average is above 80 and is only going higher gpa wise that is a 3.0 (I think) . I am going to do my SATs this June and with a lot of studying I think I can do well.

I hope to apply for ED but my major problem is financial aid. I know for a fact I can not afford to go to Barnard but I still believe that it is the school for me and a place were I can truly find myself. I leave in a single parent home I know my mother can help out . For next year I am aiming for a 90 average.

So with this information what do you think about my chances?!

Thank you for your time :)

Barnard does not promise financial aid for international students – so unless you are a US citizen, I think you can assume that you probably will not get aid from Barnard. Certainly you cannot consider applying ED under any circumstances.
