<p>A class rank in the top 10% won’t keep you out of HYPS but it won’t get you in either. Assuming you are an international applicant, why should HYPS admit you out of all the applicants from your country (some of whom have won international awards etc)? If you have a good answer to this question, you might actually have a shot at the elite universities.</p>
