So.. i was stupid and decided to take 5 Honor classes my senior year...
first semester i did ok
and got a 3.8 weighted... with only one C

however second semester... i got one D+ in one of my math classes...
UCI's policy is to have a 3.0 weighted. and no D's or F's. i still have over a 3.0 weighted with my D+....

Does anyone know what factors the school takes into consideration? and if there are any possible methods to get around being rescinded? has anyone heard of any cases where somone got a D+ and did NOT get rescinded?

my overall junior year gpa was 4.15... so my past grades are fairly strong... my SAT scores are decent and yeah... my first semester senior year wasnt bad.

I'm supposed to send UCI notification of my D+ via the message center.. and im supposed to provide a brief explanation as well.. does anyone have any tips for what i should say?

i'm sorry to question your knowledge.. but.. do you know all this stuff from personal experience or something shoefactory? you seem to be a sophomore or junior at uci.. how do you know they probably wont rescind me

it's basically accepted on the forums that you won't get rescinded if you message them and didn't REALLY screw up. these threads come up every year

I second ShoeFactory. It happens every year, and we've seen more cases where people have pulled through. Be mature about it and maybe make up an worthy excuse. Good luck on that.

does anyone have an idea what the process is like? You message them and inform about the low grade.... then what? do they reply back and say youre rescinded? or do they bring you in and have an interview with you... or do they not reply at all?! and do you know if you get a chance to appeal if rescinded?
