Possibility of getting a 40000$us Financial Aid?

I heard that Stanford's average need-based financial aid award for undergraduates is like 40000 $us.
Being an international student, what are some requirements I need to show them in order to achieve this?
For example: SAT scores, financial forms, volunteer work, athleticism, etc.

Thanks

Aid isn’t based on your stats. Aid is based on your parents’ income and assets. Stanford would look over all of your parents’ info and then determine.

Stanford is “need aware” for int’ls. It is also very difficult to get accepted there as an int’l.

Do look on Stanford’s website for information on international students. First and foremost, admissions to Stanford is one of the most selective in the US. Just getting accepted is a tough go. SAT scores, the type of courses taken, the school you attend, are all important factors.

If you are accepted, financial need is based on your family (parents’) income and assets. You can run figures through the NPC to get some idea what your family would be expected to contribute. Forget about the average need based award, because it would have nothing to do with what YOU would get. YOU get what the formula indicates based on your family’s earnings and assets. If accepted, Stanfor does meet full need as they define it by this formulat.

The top students from all over the world do apply to Stanford so the competition is fierce for a spot. Make sure you have other alterantives, at least one that you know will work out for you. Good luck.

The net price calculators are not particularly accurate for international students.
