Long: Basically how I can take mundane, ordinary objects or events and make them into extraordinary ones [That's as simple a synopsis as I could think of. It sounds cheesy but it's not].

Bottom Line:
Is this good enough to get me into the honors program? Could I get merit scholarship money out of this?

I think it looks competitive for honors and merit, but there are no guarantees in life. We have run into a few people who didn’t realize there is a separate application for the honors program, so I will mention that just in case. Which school are you applying to?

I think you could get some money, like 10-15K. There’s no way to apply for it- they offer it with your acceptance. Do apply for the honors program.

Hilsa you have a very good chance of getting some money.I would think total 10/yr for 4 yr

Take a good look at the honors website. GW’s program has a very specific emphasis, and may not be a good fit depending on your major of interest.

I would say you are definitely a good candidate for a scholarship and the Honors Program. As a previous poster stated, the Honors Program is very rigid in its requirements, though. You might want to also look at the applications online for the Women’s Leadership Program (if that applies to you) or the Dean’s Seminars. I am in one of those programs and I really like it.

It must be tough for them to decide who gets merit scholarships because the majority of their applicants have incredible GPAs and SAT scores. How can they decide which stellar student gets one and which one doesn’t?
