<p>I am a senior in high school and Pomona College is my dream school, but I am starting to doubt that there is even a possibility that I will be accepted.
Suggestions and opinions please.</p>

-In top 6%</p>
<p>Prior AP classes: 2
Currently taking 3: calc, chem, english</p>
<p>-I have taken a number of classes at a community college.
-Volunteered 150 hours at a hospital.
-Orchestra all four years ( 2 of which at were at the college).
-Tennis: 2 years
-read, write, & speak: english, hebrew, persian, spanish
-planning to send an art supplemental</p>
<p>They really value level of interest, so if a rep comes anywhere near you, be sure to be there and introduce yourself. Simply explain why it is your dream school, make a good impression, and hopefully it will pan out. If it is at all possible, visit and schedule an interview. Good luck!</p>
<p>SAT is a killer, bring that up however you can. Your ECs are a bit weak, so your best bet is to write AMAZING essays, get some fantastic recs, and make as much personal contact as possible. Pomona really values interest and contact, so having an interview, contacting your admissions rep, and visiting is essential. Remember, Pomona weights Scores/GPA, ECs, Recs, and essays in separate and equal categories. So if you can pull through competitive SATs and get fantastic recs and essays, your only weak spot counts for only a fourth of your admissions decision.</p>
