Possibility of UCI admissions withdrawl?

Hey, everyone. I was accepted into UCI several weeks ago. I received a holistic review questionnaire in mid-February which required me to input my grades from my first semester. However, after reviewing my supplement, along with my grades from two college courses I took in the first semester, I noticed that I made an error in reporting the grades I received in the supplement.

I took two college courses during my first semester: a HEA100 class, and a THE100 class (for my theater/performing arts credits). I reported I received an A and B in each class, respectively, however, upon reviewing the official grades, it turns out I received a B and a C in both, respectively. Should I call UCI admissions to report the discrepancy before I submit my official transcripts?

I would say call them ASAP, I made the same mistake right after I submitted my apps and freaked out. I called and changed my grades with a written letter. I got into UCLA, so I think they will be understanding that you realized your mistake.

Best of luck to you!

Call them ASAP? I understand. I also just sent UCI an email regarding the discrepancy between the reported and the official reports.

Are these errors considered extremely grave and how do they often result in an admissions withdrawl? I was stoked upon receiving admission, however, now, I’m basically freaking out.

Anyone? I’d really like a few words of reassurance, if it’s even applicable in my situation… :/

Would anyone happen to know? I do apologize for having to bump my thread twice.

Were your college grades final and published at the time you turned in your supplemental?

If so, you’ve got some splaning to do. How do you report a B and a C as an A and a B?

If not, then you were simply forecasting your final grades, and forecasts are notoriously errant.

Well what happened was that my college professors update grades in two different directories. One is used through the semester and is usually updated, while the other is updated solely at the end of the semester, a few weeks to a month into the second semester.

I reported the grade that was reported in the former directory (mentioned above), and I later learned that the grade was not final as it did not include the final. Again, these grades were reported onto the holistic supplemental review. I emailed my counselor and elaborated much more in the letter. She replied back this morning with a “Thank you for the updates.”

How should I interpret this? Should I still call?

call to make sure

I think you’re good. You were truthful on your Supp, that’s the important issue.

Yes UCI will most likely excuse you for this mishap. The worst happens, UCI rescinds your admission, and then you go to the college professors and have them write letters to UCI and explain  and I am sure you will be in either way.

I see. Thanks so much for the reassurance. My close friend just received his admittance yesterday, and we decided we’ll be dorming together so I’m extremely stoked right now.

Thanks so much, once again! :D
