Hey, everyone. I was accepted into UCI several weeks ago. I received a holistic review questionnaire in mid-February which required me to input my grades from my first semester. However, after reviewing my supplement, along with my grades from two college courses I took in the first semester, I noticed that I made an error in reporting the grades I received in the supplement.

I took two college courses during my first semester: a HEA100 class, and a THE100 class (for my theater/performing arts credits). I reported I received an A and B in each class, respectively, however, upon reviewing the official grades, it turns out I received a B and a C in both, respectively. Should I call UCI admissions to report the discrepancy before I submit my official transcripts?

I already emailed my counselor from the UCI portal, so I'm just waiting for her response.

Anyone? I would really like some reassurance, if at all possible considering the situation I’m in… :/

You took the right step in notifying the counselor. Honestly, you should have checked before you reported 2 false grades in the very beginning…because you had plenty of time to update it. I don’t think anyone can possibly tell you what might happen, but you should definitely call. Good luck and hope they fix everything.

Well what happened was that my college professors update grades in two different directories. One is used through the semester and is usually updated, while the other is updated solely at the end of the semester, a few weeks to a month into the second semester.

I reported the grade that was reported in the former directory (mentioned above), and I later learned that the grade was not final as it did not include the final. Again, these grades were reported onto the holistic supplemental review. I emailed my counselor and elaborated much more in the letter. She replied back this morning with a “Thank you for the updates.”

How should I interpret this? Should I still call?
