Possibility of USC presidential scholarship being rescinded before classes start

IB diploma student starting at USC this fall. Any degree of help would be hugely appreciated.

So I somehow became a national merit finalist and got USC’s presidential scholarship - which I’m ecstatic about, but I keep wondering about whether there’s a possibility of the scholarship being retracted before the fall semester even starts on the basis of a drop in HS final semester grades. I’m aware that you can lose the scholarship if you do badly in college, so I was wondering if the same applies to this (relatively) short period (between having been awarded the scholarship and the beginning of the fall semester) in which final exam grades roll in.

How low of grades are you talking here?

B’s, A’s, and most probably one C.

I doubt that would be an issue. I think it’s mostly Ds and Fs that cause problems. You could call or email the school and ask.

That probably should have occurred to me earlier, haha. Thank you for replying!

As long as the school does not rescind your total admission, they’re not going to rescind your merit award at this point.
