Now I everyone has some idea of what they're going to study at MIT.....sort of.
But does anyone have any idea of what activities they're going to participate in?
Personally, I'm considering taking Tae Kwon Do and perhaps take classes at the glass labs.
And then there's UROP's and IAP.

Anyone?

Aislynn, you're very well-informed! :)

For those who aren't sure what's available, a possibly-comprehensive-but-I'm-not-sure-how-up-to-date list of student activities is here.

You'll also be getting a CD in the mail this summer which contains information about all of the active student groups on campus. I think it will come out in early July. Additionally, there's an activities fair during orientation every year, and all the student groups get a booth. It's kind of a zoo, but lots of information.

I think that link might be MIT-only, Mollie. :(

No it works.

sniff There's no knitting club T_T.
Any MITtens who like to knit?

my host's roommate was going to some kind of knitting club.. I'm sure it exists. Hmm.. you could also try PMing JLP for more info

Yeah, those are only ASA-recognized activities (ie activities which get MIT money and are officially organized clubs). There are certainly other activities which don't see the need to fleece MIT out of money. :)

I still can't get anything for the link you posted =/

How about this: go here, click on "Activities Database" (upper left corner), then "Public Lists", then "View All Groups".

Hacking?

Probably one of the best past times at MIT. Make sure you take a picture.
