<p>Let's say I take a community college course (or summer school course at Penn) in Physics and get a B or better. Would that negate the C during the school year?</p>
<p>What's your current GPA? What was it before the C? How many C's do you have on your transcript? </p>
<p>As for taking it this summer:
I don't know if a B would completely negate your C, but you would be showing them that you can do college level work, and I think it'd definitely help your overall application (at least somewhat).</p>
<p>GPA w/o the C would be a 3.37...w/ the C, a 3.28. I'm taking all honors and APs, so weighted GPA would be 4.37 or 4.28...</p>
<p>Assuming your GPA is on a 4 point scale, your weighted is quite good. And it doesn't look like the C dropped your GPA down too much. I don't see it as detrimental at all.</p>
