Possible chance of being rescinded?

So I was accepted into UC Riverside, but I'm really nervous that I might get rescinded because of the possible D I might receive second semester in Multivariable Calculus Honors. I was able to pull off a C first semester, but I'm not 100% sure I'll be able to do the same this semester. All my other AP classes are fine, and my cumulative GPA has only dropped .1 [to a 3.7]. I emailed Riverside's admission explaining my current situation, but is there a high chance that I may be rescinded? And would it be better to call the admissions office rather than wait for an email back?

if you get a D or your WEIGHTED GPA falls below 3.0 then they may rescind you

I got a D in Calculus on my first semester in senior year. My admission to UCR was rescinded. First semester I forgot what GPA I had (but it was above a 3.0) and second semester I got a 3.6 and they still said no. I really wish I got in because i did like UCR and now I’m in a community college and missing out on the college experience. :(

***ff are you serious i got a D first semester of AP calc and i reported like february that i go a D and how im doing better now and i will pull of better grade and i got waitlisted :o

did u get accepted first before u sent the letter?

What you want to do is email UCR admissions immediately and tell them about your situation. The sooner the better, so they can help you out. I was in the same boat as you, for my calculus 2 class. I was on the border of a D+/C- and actually ended up dropping the class, however since I talked to admissions first about it, they adjusted for my situation and let me slide past. My situation might not be the same as yours, but I guarantee you if you email admissions your chances will be a lot better.

best choice right now is to email the school (just like what everyone is saying), but don’t think you are in just because you emailed them. For UC, you are asked to maintain your grade for your senior year simply because your senior grade won’t affect your admission status (D and F are exceptions) since you already made the grade needed for admission. Your best bet right now is to email them by telling them the EXACT situation and how you are improving (if any). Sometimes UC schools wish to see improvements more than progress . Email them and hope for the best

Good luck

If you get just one D, you’ll be fine. Even if it was just one F (and no Ds) you can get in.
Just make sure you let the school know beforehand, and that the D/F you’re getting isn’t an important class like English or something you need, because a D doesn’t count as passing for them.
