The University’s website now lists a different range of score averages on SATs and ACTs. They seem to be higher. Is this newer information? I also noticed that prepscholar’s average SAT score has went up to 1340. What is going on with that?
Could be the change from the old SAT to the new one, maybe? I think most schools are switching to reporting the new SAT equivalent. The new SAT scores tend to be higher than the math+CR on the old SAT.
Note whether you are comparing apples to apples. Data for enrolled students is typically lower than for admitted students.
Whether or not the New SAT averages from last admissions season were actually higher than old averages, the Old SATs are typically being reported as the concorded New SAT equivalent using the College Board’s 2016 concordance tables, which makes at least that portion of last season’s scores (Old SAT takers in college Class of 2021) automatically higher than for prior years. (This makes the reported data less useful, in my opinion, since I harbor doubts about the accuracy of the concordance tables.)
