I am having difficulty thinking of what I'll write for an essay when I start applying to colleges. So far, the only developed idea I have been able to come up with is my exploring the faith of the Society of Friends, commonly known as Quakerism, especially liberal Quakerism.

I don't think think that many people would find it offensive. It is a faith that is very tolerant of other faiths, and the type that I will be describing is very, very open-minded.

Is this an acceptable topic? Some of the schools I'm applying to are Catholic. Should I have a different essay for those schools?

Thank you so much for your response! I truly appreciate it!

I’m not a Quaker (a Friend) yet, though I’m considering joining eventually. I’ve been looking into the beliefs for a few years now, and have recently started attending meetings.
