possible essay topic?

Hi, In my essays, I am considering talking about how I grew up in a multi-religious environment (my dad is christian and my mom is hindu) and the way that I dealt with the confusion and pressure.

Do you think this is a good topic?

Your best topic is the one that gives you your best chance to be personal, honest, specific, revealing, and, ideally, enlightening.

The topic that would work best for me or for other posters may not be the one that will work best for you.

I agree with ADad. I think it'd be an interesting topic. What matters if whether or not you think you could make it an interesting essay.

I'm an activist, so I recommend writing about something "progressive." Take a stance on a huge issue and defend it. It shows that you really think about about important things. I recommend commenting on...the nature of progress...or human potential for prosperity or destruction. Of course, you MAY come off as too agressive, but I haven't spoken to any admissions oficers who've warned against it. Maybe you should call or email an admissions counselor for guidelines.
