possible for transfer to apply as freshman?

would it be possible for a college sophomore to apply for a spot in the freshman class (instead of already existing classes, where spots are far less likely to be available), thereby increasing his chances of admission?

I'm not sure about applying as a freshman, but Princeton does not take transfer students, so you can't apply for the class of 2009.

Sorry ontolome, but the admissions office says that if you have taken courses at another university before, you are considered a transfer applicant, and that at this time, they are not accepting transfer applicants.

HOWEVER, I would e-mail them or try to talk to them in some way....juuuuuust in case

Any reason why they don't. In the conversation with my Interviewer he said if I didn't get in that I could still possibly transfer as I was a good candidate, but when I told him abotu Pton's policy he said he was a bit shocked. Apparently, he didn't know...
