UConn is another with a strong pre-pharmacy program, and I'd recommend something like that: you only spend two years taking the prerequisite undergraduate courses, and then go straight to pharmacy, as opposed to spending four years getting your bachelor's degree and another four getting your Pharm.D.

If you don't want to go that route, though, you can basically major in whatever you want and just make sure you fulfill the pre-pharmacy requirements. Obviously it's easiest to do so with a biology or chemistry-related major, but it's not required. Think about what you would want to do most if you decided pharmacy wasn't for you, and major in something related to whatever that is. You just need to do some careful planning to make sure you fulfill all the pre-pharmacy prerequisites and all your undergrad requirements.

Anything you want, as long as you fulfill all the pre-pharm requirements. Many people apply to pharm schools before completing their BS/BA degree. However, finishing undergrad is increasingly more common and you'll definitely have a leg up in admissions if you wait. Some schools like UMich & USC admit very few, if any, students without bachelors.

If you're still in high school I suggest looking into 0+6 programs, where after 2 years of pre-reqs you start pharm classes. Off the top of my head I can only think of Thomas Jefferson, but I know there are others.
