With decisions coming out soon, I realized a little late that I may have done something incorrectly. Under the supplemental form, Harvard provides an area where one can present research materials, but must also have a short passage contextualizing it to one's interests. I put an abstract in the additional info section of my common application, without such a blurb, and nothing under the supplemental form about it. Is this bad? I'm sort of worried.

por favor mayne

ok, so almost 100 people have seen this. I’d like at least some kind of reply…

^^^ That’s because no one can say if it’s bad or not. In 10 days you will have the answer.

The reason no one’s replying is that this thread is ridiculous. First of all, decisions will be sent out in ten days; there is absolutely no reason to be worrying about anything at this point. What will be will be. Secondly, the research is supplementary material, so if whatever you sent is truly noteworthy, I can guarantee you that the adcoms saw it and took it into account. This didn’t hurt your app in any way, shape, or form. Harvard’s guidelines for supplementary materials are extremely lax anyways, because they want to give each applicant the freedom to express himself in his/her own way in his/her app. You’re fine. Relax. Ten more days and all questions will be answered.

^well, i mean, this is the reply i wanted. I suppose that this thread was rather ridiculous, but i needed to get my worriedness quelled in some manner.

Well, I’m glad I gave you the answer you were looking for. Sorry if that came off as a bit harsh, I’m definitely feeling the anxiety building as well. 10 more days!

■■■■■! Sorry, if I am being rude or insensitive. I know the pressure is building up, but this thread is like:

1: OMG, **** **** ass, I just saw that I have made a blunder in my application. Am I busted?

2: Shut up you jackass, what will be will be. So relax and get lost.

1: Aah! Thank you for saying that. just needed it.

LOL
